The Progress of the Garland County Young Democrats under Robert's Direction:

"Since its inception in August of 2011, the Young Democrats of Arkansas Garland County Chapter has taken the approach of spreading the ideals of the Democratic Party through community outreach.

The chapter has organized and participated in various events to benefit worthy causes around the greater Hot Springs area. The club has been provided a steady flow of volunteers to help organizations such as the Virginia Clinton Kelley Foundation in its annual Golf Tournament. Also, several members of the Garland County Young Democrats assisted with non-partisan campaigns of local community members who ran in various city elections --  most notably Debbie Ugbade, who reclaimed her Hot Springs High School Board position. Finally, as part of a bi-partisan effort with a conservative club at a local high school, the chapter has collaborated on a September 11th remembrance project that created a memorial out of American flags in the shape of the two towers.
The Garland County Chapter has also hosted a voter registration drive to encourage the youngest demographic to get to the polls for the 2012 election cycle. On top of being Obama 2012 supporters, the chapter has made efforts to raise money to pay for its share of the Garland County Democratic Central Committee's main office in order to keep it open during the 2012 campaign season. In addition to this, members have also hosted a party for Garland County Democrats to celebrate President Obama's birthday."
